The day I will marry my best friend. The one i laugh with, live for, dream with, and love.
Our first official date was in January 2015. We went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then went to a show at Jazz at the Bistro.
Jasper recreated our first date. We bought tickets to a show at the jazz club about a week before, so Jasper was probably planning this for a while. We tried to go to the same restaurant, but we found out that it was closed and had been merged with another place about a mile away. So we went there instead to have dinner before the show. Jasper was planning on proposing at dinner, but said later that he didn't think the mood was right in the restaurant. Then we went to the jazz club. The performer that evening was Kyle Dean Massy and he sang several Broadway songs. Jasper was planning on proposing during the show when his dinner proposal didn't work out, but the show didn't have an intermission so he never really got the chance. After the show we left the jazz club and started walking to the car, and Jasper stopped on the sidewalk right in front of the club and got down on one knee to propose! We went to a nearby bar to celebrate because we didn't want the evening to end.
We're having a post-wedding picnic on
